Horizontal Directional Boring, commonly called horizontal directional drilling or HDD, is a steerable trenchless method of installing underground pipes, conduits and cables in a shallow arc along a prescribed bore path by using a surface-launched drilling rig, with minimal impact on the surrounding area.
Horizontal Directional Boring is used when trenching or excavating is not practical or cost effective. It is suitable for a variety of soil conditions and jobs such as road crossings, river crossings, Golf courses, under tree'd areas or anywhere that has environmentally sensitive vegetation that can’t be disturbed.
We use the latest tracking equipment ensuring exceptional accuracy, both in a straight line, grade and depth. We pride ourselves on the job being completed perfectly the first time.
We can drill diameters of up of 600mm and to distances of up to 200m in one shot. We specialise in using “stick pipe” if requested by our customers, and can drill sewer/stormwater on grade.

Our machines cut a trench 150mm wide and up to 900mm deep making them perfect for installing power, phone, storm water or irrigation lines.
We also offer a 3 tonne, rubber tracked, zero swing excavator with 300mm, 450mm, 600mm and 1200mm buckets.

Vacuum Excavation or Hydro excavation is a safe, effective process of locating, digging and excavating around underground assets such as optical-fiber, power, telecommunication services, gas, water and sewer mains. The process uses pressurised water to dig while simultaneously vacuuming the debris into the onboard collection vessel.
This machine can also be used to remove water slurry etc., from storage sump pits or to safely excavate pier holes in difficult locations.

Jason has over 16 years experience in interpreting "Dial Before You Dig" Plans and has expert understanding of the various utility provider’s "code of practice and procedures" when working in close proximity of existing underground assets. We are able to organize the dial before you dig plans on behalf of clients if requested.
